These trays are covered with canvas and then painted with Tibetan motives and designs that were traditionally found on the painted furniture in Tibet. The base colours of red and orange were also typically found on Tibetan painted items. |

The trays with the double dorje in the centre (Tray28) are for dharma use, that is for religious purposes, as normally one wouldn't put ordinary objects on a sacred symbol.
