Folding tables were among the most widely used pieces of furniture in Tibet prior to the Chinese takeover: they were used in the monasteries, homes and nomads tents. Then and now, they are ideal as meditation tables in front of one's seat, to rest a book of prayers, a rosary or simply a cup of tea
.

These tables (NT7 & NT10)are made with the prestigious hard wood, sisso (latin), and finely carved with traditional Tibetan motifs. Tables NT11 & NT19 are painted on pine wood with designs popular in Tibet prior to 1950. For a more modern look, NT17 is decorated with the Eight Auspicious Symbols and a golden lotus flower, using bold colour contrasts, and painted on canvas. NT20, made from sisso wood is not folding.
Different or custom made designs can also be made.
